Race Day Services – Steveston Icebreaker 8K and New Balance 1K

WATER STATION

Water and hydration drinks are available at the start, finish area and along the route at 2.5/5.5k.

WASHROOMS

There will be portable washrooms at the start line area and public washrooms along the course at 2.5K and 5.5K.

Photos

There will be professional photographers stationed throughout the course and all photos will be available following the event.

FIRST AID

First aid will be provided by Odyssey Medical. A first aid station will be available at the start/finish area. In addition, first aid attendants will be spread out remotely throughout the course.

GEAR CHECK

Complimentary Gear Check starting at 7:30 AM in the start line area. Gear Check tags are supplied as part of your race bib. Must supply your own bag.

JOGGERS-STROLLERS

For safety purposes, participants with walking poles, strollers or baby joggers MUST start at the back of the pack and must walk the route. Sorry, no dogs or pets on course.

Timing and Results

This is a timed event by Startline Timing. The timing is attached to your race number – so make sure to wear your bib. Your timing chip is located on the back of your race bib.

Refund & Cancellation policy

I understand that this event is strenuous and physically taxing and in consideration of the Kajaks Track & Field Club accepting this application for entry into the Steveston Icebreaker, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, assigns or administrators, waive and release any and all rights of claims for damages or injury that I may sustain while taking part in this event, that I may have against the organizing club, its officers and volunteers, sponsors, City of Richmond, and Steveston Community Centre.

Weather Conditions: If the race is cancelled due to a force majure, or something out of our control, there is no refund. See deferral policy. Entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Cancellation/Deferral Policy: There are no cash refunds for the Steveston Icebreaker or New Balance Kidsrun. In case of cancellation for something out of our control (force majure), you will have the option to defer next year's event at a 50% discount and you will still receive your race kit and medal at package pickup.

Conditions of Entry: Race registration is non-refundable. If you are unable to run and can’t transfer your entry, it will be cancelled.
